| Headmistress' Office
The entrance to the Headmistress' office at Hogwarts is behind a statue of a gargole on the seventh floor. When given the proper password, the gargoyle will leap aside, and the wall behind it will split in two to reveal a spiral stone staircase that moves like an escalator. The gargoyle, however, sometimes has a mind of it's own. The office can be sealed so that no one can enter, save the rightful Headmistress[Meaning, if the Headmistress were wrongly taken from her job, and the gargoyle got mad, he'd lock the stairs so no one could enter]. Also, the office can be sealed s that someone already inside cannot leave without the Head's permission.

| Ravenclaw Tower
Ravenclaw Tower is located on the west side of the castle. The entrance is a door at the top of a tightly winding spiral staircase that leads up from the fifth floor. The door has neither handle nor keyhole, but a talking bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. Rather than asking for a conventional password, the knocker will ask a question; if answered correctly, the knocker will compliment the person on the answer, and the door will swing open.
The common room, like the other House common rooms, is decorated in House colors (blu eand bronze silk wall hangings, in this case, and a midnight blue carpet decorated wth stars). The room is wide, circular, and very airy, with domed ceiling painted with stars, and walls with graceful arched windows that proivde a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains.

| Gryffindor Tower
One would find the enterance to Gryffindor Tower on the seventh floor. Gryffindor Tower differs from Ravenclaw Tower slightly, because unlike Ravenclaw Tower, the Gryffindor Tower's entrance si through a fairly large painting of a Fat Lady. If you know the right password to tell her, after she relishes you with her singing, she swings open to reveal a round opening in the wall.

| Hufflepuff Chamber
Accessed through a still life painting found near the kitchens; to reach it, you enter a door to the right of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall and down a staircase there . Although it is therefore at dungeon level, it is "as dissimilar as possible" from the Potions classroom. As we have seen in the other common rooms, it is decorated in House colours, which in this case means that there are lots of yellow hangings; like Gryffindor Tower, it has a lot of comfortable armchairs. There are little underground tunnels leading to the dormitories, all of which have perfectly round doors, like barrel tops.

| Slytherin Labrynith
The Slytherin Common Room is accessed only through the Dungeons. You follow the stairs for a while, until they lead you to a Low Dungeon, which is underneath Hogwarts' lake. Torches light your entire way down, as it does get very dark. The Slytherin Common room is a low-ceililnged room, with greenish lamps and chairs, with skulls all around. As you walk into the common room, you see a group of students over by a table actively discussing the latest things down Knockturn Alley. You walk over and a green fire is burning in the fireplace. The Slytherin banner proudly hangs over the fire place.

Students wanting to learn about tea leaves, crystal balls, and the skill of seeing, climb the many stairs to the East Tower for Class. Once ascending up the ladder to the classroom, the students are shocked to enter a stifiling classroom with small tabes and crystal balls. From the corner of the room, a voice calls out, "Come in! Come in!"

| The Great Hall (1 sub-board)
The Great Hall is a large chamber with an enchanted ceiling that mirrors the sky outside. Four long tables for the four houses. Closest to the doors from the Entrance Hall is Slytherin, then Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and next to the far wall, Gryffindor (this order may possibly be reversed, depending on how you orient the room to the entrance hall). The teachers sit at the High Table, a table on a raised platform at the front of the room.

| Prefect's Bathroom
Inside, the bathroom's walls, floor, and single sunken bathtub are all made of white marble, lit softly by a candle-filled chandelier. The rectangular tub is the size and depth of a swimming pool, and even has a diving board, but unlike an ordinary pool the tub is lined with about a hundred taps, each with a differently coloured jewel set into the handle. Each tap automatically releases not only water, but bubble bath (a different kind of bubble bath for each colour-coded handle). A pile of fluffy white towels are kept in one corner. Only Prefects and Quidditch Captains are entitled to use this bathroom.

| Room of Requirement
The Room of Requirement is a magical room which can only be discovered by someone who is in need. It is called the Come and Go Room by the house-elves of Hogwarts. The Room is located on the seventh floor, opposite a tapestry showing Barnabas the Barmy trying to teach trolls to dance the ballet. To make the Room appear, a person has to walk past the section of blank wall three times concentrating hard on what is needed.

| The Owlery
Located on the top of the West Tower, the Owlery is a circular stone room, rather cold and drafty, becaus enone of the windows have glass in them. The floor is entirely covered in straw, owl droppings, and the skeletons of mice and voles. Hundreds upon hundreds of owls of every breed imaginable are nestled here on perches that rise right up to the top of the tower.

| The Forbidden Forest
To the east of Hogwarts castle is a large, dark forest. This forest is strictly off limits to Hogwarts students, except in the course of occasional Care of Magical Creatures lessons or detentions. The forest is thick with trees, as well as undergrowth such as knotgrass and thorns -- but there are paths, brooks, and some clearings. STRICTLY OFF LIMITS TO HOGWARTS STUDENTS

| Ministry of Magic
A visitor to the Ministry of Magic comes to a broken-down red telephone box located on a dingy street which has several shabby offices, a pub, and a wall covered with graffitti. When the telephone in the box is dialed (62442, the word M-A-G-I-C), the welcome witch's voice answers, not from the phone but from the air as if the person is standing right there. Visitors must state their business, upon which a silver badge pops out with the visitor's name and purpose of visit. Then the telephone box drops down like a lift for about one minute, after which the visitor is in the Atrium.

The entrance to St. Mungo's is concealed behind an abandoned red-brick London department store called Purge and Dowse, Ltd. on a Muggle street. Unlike, say, the Leaky Cauldron, St. Mungo's is visible to passing Muggles, who merely believe the sign on the front that the store is "Closed for Refurbishment." In the front window, a dummy dressed in outdated styles serves as the gatekeeper; wizards wanting to enter do so by talking to the dummy, and then walking straight through the window

The Hogwarts Express, the only train whiich takes students to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, departs at 11am on September 1, the day before Hogwarts students begin their school year.
